Vietnam: Summer courses of Vietnamese language and culture for university students
The offer of Vietnamese language and literature courses organized by universities in Vietnam for students from public universities in the Czechia is based on contractual obligations between the Czechia and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The summer course of vietnamese language and culture is organized by the University of Foreign Languages Studies – the University of Danang.
Knowledge of Vietnamese language is not requited for participating in the courses.
The participation in the courses is funded by the Ministry of Education and Training of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Additional conditions
The scholarship application process consists of two phases:
(1) First, by the deadline specified below, applicants must submit an electronic application through this portal, including the required attachments (see “Application Attachments” below). After the application deadline, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS) will evaluate the applications received and select the candidates to be nominated for the scholarship.
(2) In the second stage, successful (selected) candidates are asked to submit documents for the Vietnamese partner organization’s proceeding in English or Vietnamese. Documents must be in electronic form and uploaded to the relevant application in the portal Studuj na VŠ. All documents must be in English or Vietnamese or accompanied by a translation. The list of required documents for the Vietnamese partner, details of what is required, and the deadline for submission can be found in the call for applications for the given year (this information varies each year). The MoEYS will then forward the documents to the Vietnamese Center for International Education Development, and the Vietnamese partner will subsequently decide on awarding scholarships to the nominated candidates.
The host university will prepare the necessary documents for e-visas for the course participants and provide them with the necessary instructions for the next steps.

Stay information
Scholarship
- The scholarship consists of free participation in the course (the registration fee is paid by the scholarship provider, attendance is free of charge) and excursions, free accommodation and meals. Scholarship holders are not paid any money.
Travel expenses
- Expenses for international travel will be reimbursed to the scholarship holder by the sending Czech university upon request.
