The Summer Courses are an event for international students and teachers, organised by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia in cooperation with local universities. The programme may include intensive language classes (focusing on grammar and phonetics practice, vocabulary development, conversational skills, etc.) or a series of lectures on culture, history, literature and local realia. Before the courses begin, students are usually divided into study groups according to their language skills, usually based on placement test results. Courses are tought by experienced native speakers, are often combined with an accompanying events such as guided tours, visits to museums and monuments, film evenings and theatre performances.
More detailed information will be available once the 2025 summer school offer is published. A list of specific summer schools offered will be available in spring 2025.
The scholarships are financed by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia.
The scholarship is used to cover the participation in the course and in the accompanying events, as well as the cost of accommodation and meals. The scholarship holders do not receive any payments.
