South Korea: Summer course in Korean language for students in Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral Programmes

The summer language courses for international students are organised by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea in cooperation with local universities. The program includes intensive language classes focusing on practicing grammar and phonetics, developing vocabulary and conversational skills. The courses may also include lectures on culture, history, literature and local realia, as well as excursions.
In previous years, the summer school was organised by universities in Seoul, Busan, and Daegu. Applicants note their preferences in the list of host universities provided in the open call of the Korean partner.
In the past years, good academic performance in GPA was a prerequisite for admission. The applicant's overall GPA had to be at least 80%. (A GPA conversion table was included in the open call announcement.)
In addition to submitting an online application via this portal, the applicant must simultaneously submit documents as required by the Korean partner. Details on the required documents and other information concerning the scholarships will be included in the 2025 open call announcement. Up-to-date information for potential scholarship applicants will also be available on the website of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Czech Republic.
The scholarships are funded by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea.

- The scholarship provider requires Czech citizenship as a condition for participation in the summer language course.
- The list of required documents in accordance with the information manual of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea will be included in the next open call announcement. The documentation is to be submitted only once the open call has been announced by the Korean partner. In the past, the documentation was submitted in paper form in three sets to the, Czech National Agency for International Education and Research, Academic Information Agency, Na Poříčí 1035/4, 110 00 Prague 1.
