The scholarship offer for doctoral students is based on contractual obligations between the Czechia and the partner country. Applicants are free to find their own host university in the context of their field of study.
In the first phase, candidates apply to the Czech partner – the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic (MoEYS). The applicants submit an online scholarship application through this portal with the required attachments in Czech by the given deadline (see below). The MoEYS will confirm whether the applicant will be included in the list of nominated candidates.
In the second phase, the nominated candidates submit their application through the Hungarian partner's online registration system. The list of required documents and further information about the scholarship stays in Hungary is available on the Tempus Public Foundation website. One of the required documents is a letter of acceptance issued by the Hungarian host university. The final decision on the acceptance of the nominated candidate rests with the Hungarian partner; the results are announced in June, at the earliest.
Information about the length of stay, the number of scholarships awarded, the requirements for the applicant and other conditions are given in the offer details. The scholarship is funded by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic.
