The offer of study and research stays for academic staff from public universities in the Czechia is follows from the intergovernmental Program of Educational and Cultural Cooperation and its publishing is subject to subsequent notification by the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports of the Hellenic Republic, as the scholarship provider. Confirmation of the offer by the Greek partner is expected in January 2026.
Scholarship applications are submitted to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic (MoEYS) online via this portal by the deadline below. The application includes mandatory attachments in English: plan of stay, professional CV, list of publications.
If the number of applicants exceeds the number of scholarships offered, a selection procedure will be conducted by the MoEYS in cooperation with the Embassy of the Hellenic Republic in the Czech Republic.
Candidates recommended for the scholarship award, and substitute candidates will be notified of the results by the MoEYS and asked to provide additional documentation as per requirements of the Greek partner. An invitation letter issued by the relevant department/institute of the Greek university is a mandatory document. The candidate nomination with the additional documents must be submitted to the Greek partner no later than two months before the planned start of the stay. The stay must take place during the calendar year 2026. The decision on the acceptance of the nominated candidate is made by the Greek partner. The scholarship in the form of a meal allowance and pocket money (EUR 110 per day for a maximum of 7 days) is paid to the scholarship holder by the Greek partner. The award of the scholarship is confirmed to the scholarship holders in writing by the Greek partner retrospectively, after their return. Upon their return, scholarship holders are requested by the scholarship provider to send in a set of additional documents. In the past, the scholarships were transferred to the scholarship holders' accounts no earlier than three months after the submission of this documentation, following their return to the Czechia.

The scholarships are funded by the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs, and Sports of the Hellenic Republic.
The amount of EUR 110 per day (meals and pocket money) is provided for a maximum of 7 days. The total sum of the scholarship is paid in a single installment, retroactively after returning from the stay.
