The offer of study stays for students of doctoral programmes is based on contractual obligations between the Czech Republic and the partner country. Applicants are free to find their own host university in the context of their field of study.

In the first phase, applicants apply to the Czech partner –  the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic (MoEYS). Applications including required documents (see below) need to be submitted online through this portal by the deadline (see below). MoEYS will confirm whether the applicant will be included in the list of nominated candidates. As a prerequisit for the scholarship to be awarded, the nominated candidate must obtain a letter of acceptance from the foreign host university. The final decision on the acceptance of the nominated candidate rests with the foreign partner. Final results of the application proceedings will be announced by the foreign partner in June.
