Course description

The Continuing Education Program - Clinical Education Level II in the Field of Reptile Diseases is governed by Act No. 166/1999 Coll., on Veterinary Care and Amendments to Certain Related Acts (the Veterinary Act), Decree No. 331/2021 Coll., on the Organization of Education for Veterinarians in Clinical Veterinary Medicine, Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education and Amendments to Other Acts (the Higher Education Act), as amended, the Statutes of the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno, the Continuing Education Code of the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno, and the Rules for Quality Assurance of Educational, Creative, and Related Activities and Internal Evaluation of Educational, Creative, and Related Activities at the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno.
The Continuing Education Program - Clinical Education Level II in the Field of Reptile Diseases is organized as an optional program for veterinarians working in clinical veterinary medicine. It aims to deepen the expertise of veterinarians in clinical veterinary practice. The program?s teaching is provided by experts from the university offering an accredited master's program in veterinary medicine or veterinary hygiene, the State Veterinary Administration, private veterinarians, and other specialists in the field as required. At the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno, the program is overseen by the Internal Evaluation Board, the Lifelong Learning Board for continuing education programs, and the guarantor of the Clinical Education program.
This program builds on the Clinical Education Level I program in the field of Reptile, Avian, and Small Mammal Diseases. The Level II program represents a higher level of complexity, focusing on specialized knowledge, experience, and skills.
The goal of Clinical Education Level II in the Field of Reptile Diseases is to expand the knowledge, experience, and skills of veterinarians in diagnosing and managing reptile diseases, building on the foundational education provided in Clinical Education Level I in the field of Reptile, Avian, and Small Mammal Diseases.
