Course description

The Continuing Education Program - Clinical Training Level II in Small Mammal Diseases is governed by Act No. 166/1999 Coll., on Veterinary Care and on the Amendment of Certain Related Acts (the Veterinary Act), Decree No. 331/2021 Coll., on the Organization of Education for Veterinarians in Clinical Veterinary Medicine, Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and on the Amendment and Supplementation of Other Acts (the Higher Education Act), as amended, the Statute of the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno, the Rules of Continuing Education of the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno, and the Rules for Ensuring the Quality of Educational, Creative, and Related Activities, and Internal Evaluation of the Quality of Educational, Creative, and Related Activities at the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno.
The Clinical Training Level II Program in Small Mammal Diseases is an optional educational course designed for veterinarians engaged in clinical veterinary medicine. It aims to deepen the level of knowledge of veterinarians in clinical veterinary practice. The instruction is provided by experts from the university implementing an accredited master's study program in veterinary medicine or veterinary hygiene, officials from the State Veterinary Administration, private veterinarians, and other specialists in the relevant field. At the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno, the program is supervised by the Internal Evaluation Board, the Continuing Education Board at the program level, and the program guarantor of the Continuing Education - Clinical Training.
This program builds upon the Clinical Training Level I Program in Reptile, Bird, and Small Mammal Diseases and represents a more advanced level of specialized knowledge, experience, and skills.
The goal of the Clinical Training Level II Program in Small Mammal Diseases is to expand education to a level of specialized knowledge, experience, and skills with a focus on addressing the issues of diseases in small mammals, building on the foundation established in the Level I Program in Reptile, Bird, and Small Mammal Diseases.
