Course description

The Continuing Education Program - Clinical Education Level II for the Diseases of Animals in Zoological Gardens is governed by Act No. 166/1999 Coll., on Veterinary Care and the Amendment of Certain Related Laws (Veterinary Act), Decree No. 331/2021 Coll., on the Organization of Education for Veterinary Surgeons Working in Clinical Veterinary Medicine, Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education and the Amendment and Supplementation of Other Acts (Higher Education Act), as amended, the Statute of the University of Veterinary Medicine Brno, the Rules for Continuing Education of the University of Veterinary Medicine Brno, and the Rules for Ensuring the Quality of Educational, Creative, and Related Activities and Internal Evaluation of Educational, Creative, and Related Activities at the University of Veterinary Medicine Brno.
The Continuing Education Program - Clinical Education Level II for the Diseases of Animals in Zoological Gardens is organized as an optional program for veterinary surgeons working in clinical veterinary medicine, aimed at deepening the level of knowledge of veterinarians in clinical veterinary practice. The teaching is provided by experts from a university offering an accredited masters program in veterinary medicine or veterinary hygiene, the State Veterinary Administration, private veterinarians, and possibly other experts on the relevant topics. The program is overseen by the University of Veterinary Medicine Brno's Council for Internal Evaluation, the Council for Continuing Education at the level of continuing education programs, and the program is supervised by the program guarantor for Continuing Education ? Clinical Education.
The Continuing Education Program - Clinical Education Level II for the Diseases of Animals in Zoological Gardens builds on the Clinical Education Level I program for the Diseases of Animals in Zoological Gardens. This Level II program represents a higher level of difficulty, with specialized knowledge, experience, and skills.
The goal of Clinical Education Level II for the Diseases of Animals in Zoological Gardens is to further enhance education in specialized knowledge, experience, and skills, following Clinical Education Level I, with a focus on the diseases of zoo animals.
